My first job animating was doing flash shorts for the internet. Here are a couple of Mondo Media's 'Like, News' episodes that I animated on. These were done back in 2000 and 2001. Seems like a long time ago.
The Ben Affleck one I had some help with. The Sam Jackson episode I animated by myself (I think). I was animating 2 1/2 minutes or more in a week. Sure the animation is very limited but I worked many late nights to get them done.
Unfortunately Mondo does not allow embedding. So follow the links to see my budding animation attempts. I should add that I like these shorts. I really appreciate that I got to work on something worthwhile so early in my career.
*edit: Jone Izen may have worked on the Sam Jackson episode. It's been a while. My memory is fuzzy.

New template! I decided to fix things up a bit on my blog. One thing I've changed is the links on the side.
Earlier this year I started using Google Reader to keep track of all the blogs I was checking out. Things snowballed and there are several dozen blogs that I have discovered and subscribed to. So I could either make the blog links section way too long or just include the people I know who blog. I decided the shorter list suited me better. Sorry if your link got axed.
Anyway, hope you like the new look. New drawings coming soon!

Horse Walk.
Here's a walk cycle I did several years ago when I was learning flash. It's sad how little I have improved in the past 7 years or so.
A couple of my coworkers commented on how long it's been since I've updated this thing. Then I found this in an old back up. So I'm posting it.

Sheesh, work got busy. I became unproductive.
On June 1st I have a painting going up at the Deighton's After Dark II show. There will be work from many Vancouver animation artists . Check it out if you can.

My goal is to update this thing much more often in the near future. Stay tuned.

Here's a tv spot done by Studio Ghibli. It probably won't change your life but it is super cute.

Here are some links to drawings from the Ray Patin Studios. They mostly did tv commercials in the 50's.

The background colours are kind of bad.
Anyway, Schmiddy was giving me a real hard time about not posting stuff. I'll try to post some more old paintings soon.

So I haven't been doing much painting or anything lately. Here are some drawings of yours truly by Nuranee Shaw.

"I'm golden boy... you may have heard of me..."

This is a scene from Tinsletown during lunch. Some attractive girl was walking around in a see through top. What's a fella supposed to do??
Maybe I'll post some of my own stuff one of these days.
